Memphis

This musical is worth going to just because of the singers.  It about racial tensions during the 1950s when a white radio DJ, Huey Calhoun in Memphis plays amazing music and falling in love with a black singer Felicia (Montego Glover).  I really liked how the show incorporated the songs.  I liked the scenes  when Huey (Adam Pascal) played music for the very first time.

I love Adam Pascal - he has an amazing voice :).  He isn't alone in this cast of course - EVERYONE has an amazing voice.  Montego Glover has a gorgeous voice.  I liked Huey's eclectic style.

When I bought the tickets to this show I saw that the story was also by Joe DiPietro (who also wrote Nice Work If You Can Get It - I don't know much about Broadway but my guess is he is darling of the theater scene because both of these shows were great).

Review:  Once again - amazing voices!  I really loved the music and story.  ~Websites are listing that the show runs only until August 5th!
