The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will not be performing at these concerts.

Queen Latifah's work in music, film and television has earned her a Golden Globe award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Image Awards, a Grammy Award, six additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination.

A musician, television and film actress, label president, author and entrepreneur, Queen Latifah has blossomed into a one-woman entertainment conglomerate. She has had amazing success in Hollywood in recent years, and became the first hip hop artist to be crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in January 2006. She received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe nomination and a SAG Award nomination for her portrayal of Mama Morton in Chicago.

She is the voice of Ellie in Ice Age: Continental Drift, currently the No. 1 film in the country. Latifah has starred in numerous films, including Disney's box office hit Bringing Down the House, on which she also served as executive producer, Neil Meron and Craig Zadan's Hairspray, in which she played Motormouth Maybelle, Joyful Noise with Dolly Parton, Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mad Money with Diane Keaton and Katie Holmes, the highly-acclaimed The Secret Life of Bees alongside Jennifer Hudson, Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys, and Just Wright with Paula Patton, Common and Phylicia Rashad.

Queen Latifah will again be seen with Rashad, and Alfre Woodard, in the upcoming Lifetime TV movie, Steel Magnolias, on which she also was executive producer. She was both star and executive producer of the 2007 HBO movie, Life Support, a true-life drama about a mother who overcomes an addiction to crack and becomes a positive role model and an AIDS activist in the black community. Latifah received rave reviews and an Emmy nomination, and won Golden Globe and SAG awards for her performance.

Queen Latifah is also one of music's most well respected rappers. From her ground breaking 1989 debut, All Hail the Queen, which set the visual and contextual standard for female rappers, to her bold foray into R&B, Latifah continues to define what a woman in the music industry should be. She has earned four Grammy nominations, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Solo Rap Performance in 1994.
